If you are 65 years or over and any health issues can be well managed by your own doctor, you are eligible to purchase and live in one of our units in Kamo Retirement Village. The village offers affordable one and two bedroom units that are tastefully decorated and fully equipped for you to enjoy a safe, carefree and independent lifestyle without the stresses of property maintenance.
As a resident you will furnish and personalise your unit to create a comfortable home where you can enjoy living independently. However, an advantage of retirement village life is that if you are feeling unwell or want some extra help with house work and meals you are easily able to access these additional services. You can also enjoy the security and assurance that someone will have an eye on your home when you are away and Kathleen, our village support person will assist you with any day-to-day difficulties that may arise.
You will need to purchase an Occupational Right Agreement (ORA) for your unit,
which varies in price depending on the current housing market. There are financial implications to purchasing an ORA which will be fully explained to you prior to purchase, also you will need to talk to a lawyer before making a decision. There is a weekly service fee of $110 per week which covers your contribution to the upkeep of the village. Extra services are provided on a fee-for-service basis.
