All Rest Home, Hospital and Dementia Unit residents will have a individualised care plan formulated by a Registered Nurse. Residents are seen regularly by a Doctor and a Podiatrist. and access to a physio can be arranged as required.
Our menus are planned by a Dietitian and prepared by our experienced catering team . Cleaning and laundry services are looked after by our friendly House Keeping Team.
Our qualified Diversional Therapist organises a wide range of social and recreational activities for residents throughout the week. These activities include a weekly outing to maintain connection with the wider community. A resident Chaplain is also available to provide spiritual support and conduct weekly services.
Our Hairdresser visits regularly and we can help you to access any other services that you require.
Cost
Weekly costs are reviewed annually. Please contact us to confirm the current bed rate.
You may be eligible for a subsidised rate depending on personal assets Eligibility is decided by the Needs Assessment (NASC) team who are based at Whangarei Hospital . Your family GP will refer you to the NASC team for an assessment.

KHVCT have a number of superior rooms available at an additional cost of between $10 & $30 per day. Prospective residents have the right to decline superior room charges and this will not affect your ability to enter into our care.This will be explained in more detail prior to your admission.
Additional charges do apply to certain services such as the hairdresser, podiatrist for example. These will be discussed with you prior to your admission.
